The Founder's Vision

William Mc Vay

In 2022, William Mc Vay witnessed the devastating effects of the Sudan war on innocent civilians — families torn apart, children pulled out of school, and communities destroyed. With a deep sense of urgency and compassion, he founded Random Humanitarian with a simple but powerful mission: to help Sudanese war victims through direct humanitarian aid.

What started as emergency relief — delivering food, water, and shelter to displaced families — soon revealed a deeper need. The children who lost everything still dreamed of becoming doctors, engineers, teachers. That's when William realized that true, lasting change requires both immediate aid AND long-term education.

Our Mission

Two Missions, One Heart

Random Humanitarian operates on two parallel tracks: providing immediate humanitarian relief to families in crisis, and creating educational opportunities that build long-term futures. We believe you cannot choose one over the other — families need help today, and children need hope for tomorrow.

From delivering emergency food parcels in conflict zones to placing students in universities, our work spans the full spectrum of human need. We're small enough to respond quickly to crises, and dedicated enough to stay with a student from primary school through university graduation.

We still maintain our core commitment to Sudanese families, but our work has expanded to Kenya, Uganda, the Philippines, and beyond — always responding to the most urgent needs while building for the future.

Our Evolution: 2022 - Today

From Emergency Relief to Holistic Support

When William Mc Vay started Random Humanitarian in 2022, the immediate need was clear: families fleeing the Sudan conflict needed food, shelter, and medical care. Our first year was dedicated entirely to emergency relief — delivering supplies to displaced families, setting up temporary shelters, and providing medical aid in safe zones.

The Turning Point

As we worked with displaced families, we kept meeting bright, motivated students whose education had been violently interrupted. A 14-year-old girl who dreamed of becoming a doctor. A 16-year-old boy who wanted to be an engineer. They had the talent and determination — but no way to continue their studies. That's when we realized: emergency aid saves lives today, but education saves futures forever. We couldn't abandon one for the other — we had to do both.

Today, our work is balanced between humanitarian aid and educational scholarships. We still deliver emergency supplies to families in crisis — because hunger doesn't wait. And we've helped over 300 students get on scholarships, from primary school through university. For our top 17 performing students, we've opened doors to universities in Europe and America, where they can access world-class education and bring their knowledge back to their communities.

Our mission remains rooted in Sudan — that's where we started, and we continue to support Sudanese families. But we've learned that crisis doesn't respect borders, and neither should compassion. Today we help families in Kenya, Uganda, the Philippines, and wherever else we're needed, always maintaining our commitment to both immediate relief and long-term education.

Balanced Mission: Aid Today, Education for Tomorrow

When you support Random Humanitarian, your donation is split between two vital missions: immediate humanitarian relief for families in crisis, and long-term educational scholarships that build futures. We believe you cannot have one without the other. A child fed today can become a doctor tomorrow. A family sheltered from conflict can raise the next generation of leaders.

From Emergency Relief to Global Education

Our journey started with one man's vision to help Sudanese war victims. Today, we've grown into an organization that provides both immediate humanitarian aid and life-changing educational opportunities.

We're proud that we've never lost sight of our original mission. We still respond to emergencies, still deliver food and shelter to families in crisis. But we've added a second mission: ensuring that the children we help today can become the leaders of tomorrow.
